Contained Laparoscopic Power Morcellation

Indication: More-Cell-Safe is indicated for laparoscopic endoscopic tissue morcellation in gynecology.

Note: The product More-Cell-Safe is cleared in the USA under the name More-Cell-System

Contained laparoscopic power morcellation

More-Cell-Safe makes it possible to perform a gynecological laparoscopic tissue morcellation in a self-contained, isolated bag.

  • Use as tissue containment system during minimally invasive gynecologic surgery
  • Enable the isolation and containment of tissue considered benign, resected during laparoscopic surgery for power morcellation and removal.
  • Collect tissue of up to 15 cm in diameter and weight of 1400 g
  • Compatible with current commercially available electromechanical morcellators with 12-20 mm trocar diameter and 95-170 mm shaft working length.

More-Cell Bag

  • Single-use, elastic, cell-tight bag
  • Insufflation with CO2
  • Features two openings for morcellator and laparosope

Visi-Shield 0° or 30°

  • Special sleeve for 0°/30° laparoscopes to avoid contamination of the laparoscope during morcellation
  • For effective use of the optic, while protecting it from contamination during morcellation
  • Single-use

  • Cell and fluid tight bag
  • Transparent bag allows clear visualisation of surrounding tissue during the procedure
  • Use of Visi-Shield protects the optic against contamination
  • Dual opening design allows separate insertion of morcellator and optic

Functioning principles of More-Cell-Safe

Insertion

  • More-Cell Bag is introduced into the abdomen.
  • It will be unfolded completely in the abdomen.
  • Tissue specimen for morcellation is placed inside the bag.

Visi-Shield

  • Small opening of More-Cell Bag will be placed above skin level.
  • Trocar with gas supply is inserted.
  • It is recommended to cover optic by protective Visi-Shield sleeve prior to morcellation to reduce risk of cell spillage.

Morcellation

  • Tissue morcellation with i-Cut (or any other type of power morcellators) is done.
  • Afterwards everything is removed out of situ. Smaller tissue fragments and body fluids are securely contained inside the More-Cell Bag.

A.M.I. recommends the use of More-Cell-Safe together with i-Cut.

i-Cut

Laparoscopic morcellation device:
  • Single-use laparoscopic morcellation device for gynecological use
  • It is used for morcellation and extraction of tissue
  • Consists of a rotating cutting tube with a trocar that serves as protection against the cutting blade
